Wherever children are involved in a break up, their interests must come first. At KBL we understand the huge emotional strain facing parents over child arrangements.

We offer a sympathetic handling of each individual case, always aiming that children suffer minimally from their parents’ separation.

We provide advice in relation to:-

• A child’s living and contact arrangements and whether it is appropriate to apply for a Child Arrangements Order to stipulate these

• Mediation referrals

• Parental Responsibility

• Change of name

• Areas of dispute between parents in relation to issues such as a child’s education, medical treatment and removal from the jurisdiction

• The rights of Grandparents and other relatives

We will always encourage clients to try and agree matters amicably with the other parent but there are situations where this cannot be achieved. Sometimes there are safeguarding and welfare issues which need to be carefully considered.

If an application to court becomes necessary KBL can represent you throughout, providing expert advice and supporting you throughout the process.
